OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our investment philosophy is based on the universal belief that wise investments, compounded over time, will create wealth.
In support of this approach is our belief in the investment principle of starting sooner rather than later. Individuals and families that develop an investment plan early on show better results over the long term. We encourage our clients to start creating an investment plan as soon as they are able to do so.
As our client’s familial structures, health status, personal requirements, and annual income change, so to do their investment plans require to be re-evaluated and adjusted to make sure it continuous to meet our client’s long-term investment goals.
All these investment truths are encapsulated in our company logo, represented by a crosscut image of an oak tree. We specifically chose the oak tree as they can live for a great number of years, and they truly can stand the test of time. The oldest oak tree is called the Bowthorpe Oak in Manthorpe, England and is estimated to be well over a 1000 years old – yet, it too started off as a tiny acorn.
To put this into perspective; the Bowthorpe Oak was only a small sapling when Cnut the Great sailed from England to Norway to defeat King Olaf Haraldsson. Cnut was crowned king of Norway and became the sole ruler of England, Denmark and a part of Sweden known as the Danish North Sea Empire.
The crosscut in our logo is a representation, and reminder, that the years of our client’s lives, like the majestic oak, carries within it the tell-tale signs of hardship, prosperity, and an unwavering will to survive. It stands as a reminder that our clients are human beings who face life’s challenges on a daily basis and that we must play our part in providing the right guidance and support along their individual journeys.
Our company tagline – Time. Wisdom. Wealth, represents our investment ethos, as an financial advisory company, and we remind ourselves that making wise investment decisions, compounded over time, will generate the appropriate wealth and prosperity for our clients.
Underpinning our investment philosophy is personal commitment to our clients,
to always live up to our values, which are:
Relationship
We agree that discussions about your future, your family and your finances are intimate and personal. We have to assist you to create the best plan of action in case of unfortunate and traumatic life events. This requires a substantial investment in our relationships with our clients. We are sensitive to our client’s fears, emotions and dreams and we cherish this special relationship.
Organization
We are uniquely positioned to be of service, primarily for middle to high-middle income families, and small to medium sized businesses. We have a firm understanding of the challenges of family life, managing a career, and running a business. Working with a unique range of clients for many years have taught us about the struggles to strike the right work-life balance. We are focused on helping our clients create financial order and peace of mind to improve their overall quality of life.
Objectivity
We are fortunate to offer our clients a range of solutions, products, and services. As an independent financial advisory firm, we have access to some of the most successful investment managers and insurance companies that give us access to a range of products and services to provide bespoke solutions that address our client’s unique financial needs.
Accountability
A financial risk and investment plan is a work in progress. We are sensitive to our client’s changing needs and life circumstances and we suggest annual progress meetings with our clients to review and track their goals. We offer different remuneration structures to allow clients to keep us accountable for our advice, quality of service and investment acumen which we feel is the cornerstone of long-term relationships.
We see more than just clients with financial needs – we see real
people, with real families that put in the long hours at work
and who longs for
a better life for themselves and their children.
This keen sense of awareness and responsibility is what drives us to do and think differently.
What we offer is a special approach to investments and a number of characteristics that sets us apart.
We have created a unique advice journey during which we aim to inspire, coach and guide our clients through a process of asking the important questions about their lives, in order to get to the heart of their dreams, investment goals and fears, and to plan and organise their financial reality through objective advise.
The Legacy Plan is aimed at protecting clients against unforeseen circumstances that can impact their financial wellbeing negatively, ranging from death, disability, severe illness, or hospitalisation. An important element of the legacy plan is an up to date and correctly structured last will and testament as this document forms the basis of a tax efficient estate plan.
The Wealth Plan is developed to include all investment elements that has the capacity to create wealth. Here we not only refer to wealth as money but we also look at wealth from a broader perspective including what makes a quality life, what it means to be financially independent in retirement or being able to achieve a number of bucket list items for example an international holiday or a special adventure.
Creating dynamic and effective financial plans goes hand in hand with following a unique planning process.
